Important HST & Tax Compliance Notice

Under Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines, barter trades are valued at 1 Trade Dollar (T$) = $1.00 CAD. If your business is HST-registered, you are required to track HST on taxable trades. HST collected on trade sales must be remitted to the government in cash on your tax return, unless offset by Input Tax Credits (ITCs) from HST paid on trade purchases. Please consult your accountant to maintain proper tax records.

Every member of the London Barter Network agrees to our Member Agreement and trade conduct guidelines. They govern how trades are valued, recorded, and settled, and what we all expect of each other as members of this community.
