London Barter Network is London, Ontario's premiere business-to-business barter exchange, built under our core mission: Making Local Make Sense. It allows local business owners to trade products and services using Trade Dollars ($T) instead of cash.

It is 100% Free. The network has permanently transitioned from a commission-based model to an advertisement-supported model. There are zero transaction fees, zero monthly dues, and zero commission charges—forever.

1 Trade Dollar (T$) equals $1.00 CAD for transaction valuation. You earn T$ by providing goods or services to other members, and you can spend your earned T$ with any participating business in the network.

Pursuant to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines, barter trades are taxable business transactions. If your business is HST-registered, you must charge 13% HST on your sales. HST collected in trade dollars must be tracked and reported on your tax return (remitted in cash unless offset by ITCs from HST paid on trade purchases). The platform provides printable tax invoices for your accounting records.

Absolutely! We encourage members to invite their business colleagues and friends. New members can apply via our public sign-up form, and once approved by an admin, they can start trading immediately at zero cost.

The platform is engineered mobile-first as a progressive web experience. You can log in, issue invoices, upload logos, and process trades directly from your smartphone or desktop browser without downloading an app.
